The UK Government is providing funding to cover the installation of high-speed broadband for those in rural areas in Wales who struggle with poor speeds.
There are two schemes available for people and businesses across Wales; the Access Broadband Cymru Grant Scheme and the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme. We’ve outlined the differences between the two schemes, and which one may be most suitable for you below.
The goal of this scheme is to provide people in Wales with funding (or at least part funding) for new, faster broadband connection installations (does not cover monthly costs). The new connection must at least double the current speed that the recipient is receiving and must be at least 10Mbps.
The amount of funding you may receive depends on the speed of the newly established connection:

The focus of this scheme is to help people in rural areas all over the UK that are suffering from slow speeds, to get gigabit broadband connections. The government is providing up to £210 million worth of vouchers, worth up to £1,500 for homes and £3,500 for businesses to help cover the costs of installing the new connections. Find out more about the scheme here.
It’s a connection that’s capable of delivering gigabit speeds, which is the equivalent of 1,000 megabits per second. These speeds are, by today’s standards, very good and will be suitable for use for decades to come. Contact our team to find out if you’re eligible today.
